diagnostic unit 1997

Thanks for your reply. I guess it doesn't sound right to you people in US when I wrote a 945 and year 1997! however here in Denmark, next to Sweden, we liked the 945 so much so it was sold up until 1998. When Volvo had to implement the OBD2 from 1996 on the export to US, they also dropped the Diagnostic unit in the remaining models with the Jetronic ECU for the European market. This means that my 945 has no Diagnostic unit and I can't use ODB2 tools.
That is why I was interested in how the diagnostic unit was constructed, maybe it could be simulated with some interface and software.
