Help - Frying Fuse 7 700

Hello 740man,

Thanks for your response as the A/C has been a thorn in my side for some time. I just replaced the fan with a used Junk yard variety and wanted to test the fan by shorting/touching the spade connectors together but when I did that the condenser fan fuse blew up. At this point, I have not even considered the thermo switch on the rad as I am just trying to make/force the fan to spin.

I will consider your suggestion to just remove the fan but, I am afraid that if it ever gets too hot with the A/C on in sweltering heat, one of two things might happen:

1) the cooling capibility of R134a is crappy from what I hear and having no Aux fan would add to the cooling problems in super hot weather.
2) the pressure may be too high in the A/C system and blow out the seals leaving me with no A/C at all. Considering the cost of A/C repairs I'm not sure if I would want to remove the little fan at all.

When and if I get the wiring to the fan figured out, I will test the thermo switch.

Once again thank you for the response!

Sincerely,

Tim.
