This is the Bosch/Volvo ignition

The Volvo Shop says there is no Ballast resistor on the Bosch system either

I will check the coil ohms this PM

see rest of thread for continuing distro info

3 pin rectangular Bosch connector

Pigtail as in a small cable exits the distro body
and terminates in a connector as opposed to having
the connector mounted rigidly to the distro.
