Are you sure about this. What is more apt is that you increase the chance of the rears to lock up and skid, but if you can control this effect (see below), you might get faster stopping.

Again, are you sure about this statement? The two proportioning valves that sit on the rear axle of the 140s and 240s don't effect the front brakes -- they limit the presure to the rear brakes (to avoid locking up the rears and causing a skid -- as noted above). What would be the point of using bigger front brakes if you were weakening them with the use of a 'proportioning' valve?
