I can understand your concern but 6 months isn't all that long. First thing that came to my mind was to remove the plugs and squirt a couple of teaspoons of oil in each cylinder. With the plugs still out and the coil wire grounded I would crank the engine over with a fresh battery until the oil pump has had a chance to bring the pressure up. Let it sit for a minute and crank it again to insure oil delivery via pressure thoughout the system before installing plugs and starting the engine.
Should you have to let it sit again for any length of time a fuel stabilizer is some insurance that the fuel doesn't go bad in you system during your absense as well as making sure the tank is topped up to eliminate most of the air space. Good luck.
