It stands for: Room Temperature Vulcanizer*, generic term for the one-part silicon sealant/glue in a tube. Once it vulcanizes, it is prefectly stable for just about ever, and can be trimmed into the correct dimension to replace the foam pad nicely.

* has nothing to do with Mr. Spock!
