High Idle problems 700 1990

I checked the TPS per the instructions in the 700/900 FAQ.
I disconnected the TPS while the car was running and the idle stayed high, but the stalling stopped. I jumped the middle connector to one side, and nothing happened. I then jumped the middle to the other side, and the car immediately began to do it's stalling thing every 5 - 10 seconds.
Does this sound like it's the connector and not the switch? Something else?
