And one of the better ways to remove the chrome trim is by using a gasket scraper. Slide it underneath the trim close to a plastic rivet and twist the scraper to pop off the trim. Repeat at all rivet locations. For the aluminum trim (like hood and rear on a 74 144), you have to be extra cautious, but it can be done.
