you are right, i forgot about the knock sensor. i also forgot that both cars i did also got b23 engines. b23s were cheap then and it saved swapping the intake, etc. and the b21s were not worth saving-not related to the lh1. if the ignition-engine harness conectors are the same, i don't see why the 82 ignition won't connect to the 83-84 engine harness. it's been about 12 years or so since i did 1. good luck, chuck
