is this a transmission problem? 200

If the car slows down but the engine RPM's remain high (or even higher), that would indicate a slipping transmision.

If, however, the engine itself is pooping out and slowing down, that would indicate something else is the problem, like starving for fuel.

Is there any chance you may have crushed a fuel line when jacking up the car? It might also be a dirty fuel filter or bad fuel pump relay.

When you start running out of power, can you turn the key off and immediately restart it with full power, or do you have to wait a minute to restart it?
