LPG indeed has higher burning temps, and also less 'power'. Therefor valve seat tend to wear out quicker. The 'experts' over here however say that you should easily be able to run about 200k miles without hardened seats on the intake if you adjust the mixture to slightly too rich. That way they last longer they say (lower temps I suppose)
With LPG I always tended to adjust it on the lean side, perhaps thats why my intake valves are now worn-in about 5mm... Hmmm, I wonder who is right...
About your questions
tank size and capacity: anything (my cars have a 36 and 60 ltr tank)
valves: standard (or harder)
vaporizer: depends on mark/brand
way to connect to the intake or carb: venturi-bit between carb and airfilter
source of hot water: cooling system
I'll look for specs about the systems. Dunno wether you can get all the parts in Peru though. I'll take some pics of the setup for you this week. But here are 3 of my website. The tank, a volumesensor I fitted on the tank also connected to the origional gauge on the dash, and a switch for selecting either LPG or petrol. If it's below freezing people often start on petrol, and once the cars warms up they switch to LPG while driving (otherwise the vapouriser will freeze itzelf...)
