Thanks, everyone, for your wisdom and advice. From what I have read I am most hopeful that replacing the rubber bushings where the trailing arm clamps to the axle. I have already replaced the rubber mount in the transmission, and the rubber pads where the torque bars are anchored. I have not replaced the bushings where the front of the trailing arms attach, because there wasn't much play when we checked there. We'll keep working on this, and hopefully in a week or two I can let you know the result. This is a great sounding board for novices like myself. Thanks a ton. SVPete
