off the frame 1800 1973

I don't know of a shop in your area, good or bad, sorry. But a few points:

1) You can't technically do an off-frame resto on an 1800, because there's no frame. It's a unibody.

2) Take absolutely everything that isn't sheet metal, suspension or wheels off the car yourself if you possibly can. You're not charging yourself $60/hr, or whatever a shop might charge. That represents a lot of hours. Buy an engine hoist and whatever else it takes; it's a drop in the bucket, financially.

3) While the rolling chassis is in the shop -- and it will likely be there a lot longer than expected -- work at restoring all the parts that you took off. What looked pretty good with the original paint will look like junk on the restored body.
