Who else is addicted to working on their brick 200

I didn't intend to be addicted. I picked up this '81 245 for $200, didn't run. I've been driving it to work for a couple of weeks now.


Things I've done on it:

Fixed the central locking system (new aftermarket actuators on ebay for $6 each.)

Fixed tailgate wiring, just spliced in new wire and moved the old wire up through the hinges.

Installed an old tach I had laying around the garage.

Found nice front armrests on ebay. Old ones were crumbling.

Front turn signal lenses.



Things I've bought for it:

New wheelcovers w/Volvo emblems from ebay. $38 plus shipping

Dashmat

Rebuilt A/C compressor on ebay--$75 + $15 shipping (even though it cost him over $30 to ship it.) Not looking forward to that swap, but it'll be nice to have air.

Rear trailing arm bushings. Not installed yet.

Really cool Volvo keyring shaped like a Volvo steering wheel on ebay.


I have to admit it has become an obsession. Dang. Like I needed another project.
