Vent Window Pivots 140-160 1971

Smoking is bad for you. My father smoked for many years, but 1 death threat from the doctor got him to stop. It's now about 20 years later, and he is 75, fit, and well.

The original latch is very easy to open from outside. Volvo showed my father how. That is why he got the upgrade installed.

The little knob/handle that glues to the same window also fell off a once or twice. On one of them my father sanded the glass, and now it has stayed on for many, many years. At least 10 if not longer. I was wondering why he had made such a mess (he is very tidy), but now I know it is out of frustration of the knob falling off so many times. Probably better to go to a glass shop, because they will use industrial glue and not the commercial stuff you get in the shops. The commercial stuff does not work so well, because it has to be manufactured to be safe for use by untrained people.

Have fun...
