Sounds like either

1. You have a fuel delivery problem - fuel pump? Any shop can check pressures.

2. Your ignition timing is way retarded - also easy check by a shop.

Also, a friend of mine once had similar symptoms on another make of car due to a clogged muffler/exhaust pipe. Have someone check to confirm free flow through the catalytic converter and muffler if everything else checks out. I have read that sometimes the catalyst matrix collapses inside the converter.
