Hi. I have a 1991 Volvo 740 GL Sedan with a manual crank sunroof. I have read and done some reasearch on sunroof issues but I am still clueless as to where to start. I am not to savvy on these things but keeping the engine running is more my area. Heres what happend. I opened the sunroof in the vent position and parked it for my sister to drive it. She got in and went to close the vent position and slide the sunroof back. The sunroof would not close and would not slide back. The handle acted like it slipped or wasnt engaging properly but she finally got it to close and if you try to slide it back or vent it, the sunroof pops up unevenly or the handle binds and or slips badly. Also right now its closed but the handle isnt in the originating position before this happend. I really dont want to spend big bucks on fixing this car but I do know I need the sunroof to operate as the air conditioner compressor has failed (locked up) and its a bit too hot for just the windows now. Any and all help is appreciated!! =)
