Is this a scam? 200 1993

Any car is worth exactly what somebody is willing to pay for it, no more and no less. So it's a little silly to debate whether the car is "worth" what it's selling for. Because by definition, it is worth every penny. Further, whoever buys this car is getting a lot more car for their money than somebody buying a new sedan, that's for sure. Personally, I'd rather buy a car in its low 100Ks for $2,000, and I suspect most people would agree. But a rare 240 with low miles on it is going to appeal to a real 240 lover, not "most people." Of course if all you're thinking about is resale value in relation to other 240s, than these prices for this car don't make much sense. But what does that have to do with anything in the real world? Most car owners (other than a used car dealer) who think too much about resale value are generally unwise and illogical. I, for one, don't buy cars to resell them, I buy them to drive them! So in that regard, the person who ends up with this nice looking car will have made a wise decision, and their per-mile cost of owning this vehicle will be quite low in comparison to the vast majority of other car buying choices available today.

And who is to put a price on enjoyment of a vehicle? I won't blame somebody for enjoying a 93 Classic 240, because after all, it is an increasingly rare experience to have the "new car" feeling when driving one of these cars, and I can certainly understand that that would be an enjoyable thing for somebody, enough to pay a lot of dough for. Not me, but somebody....
