Mine is a 91 740 turbo with the white relay, so I assume yours is the same.
You need a multimeter for this.
Here are some readings from 2 such relays:
resistance between terminal 30 and 86/1 = 87 ohms brand new relay
resistance between terminal 30 and 86/1 = 80.1 ohms older relay (car starts and runs well with it)
Resistance readings between all other terminals was infinite on both relays.
At what point does the resistance increase or decrease to make the car run lousy? Good question - worthy of a brickboard survey
Hope this helps.
