Turbo Boost pressure Switch source. 700

Hi All,
I finally got around to trouble shooting the turbo boost switch. The symptom was on acceleration after the boost and RPM's got up (about 4500) it would flatten out and stay that way until I let off the gas.

Someone here on the board suggested that it might be the boost switch in a hose going to the large hose with the Mass air sensor in it. A buddy suggested that I try to run the engine up easy to 6K (try to keep it out of boost) and see if the rpm limiter cut it out, before I got any where near 4500 . I put the car in low and eased it up to 6K no flat spot.

So it looks like the boost switch is the problem.

Today I started looking for a switch on line , but no success, Looked in My IPD Catalog and will try my local parts dealer tomorrow. Am I going to have to go to a Volvo Dealer to find it?

Regards

Woody
