Ignition Module Plug Question 200

One thing you should be able to do is to take the connectors that fit on the pins with sleeves and squeeze them smaller to get a tighter fit. The only problem I had with the connector was with the black wire. The black wire is the ground for the ignition and if good contact is not maintained then the engine starts to miss or quit. I even had times when the engine won't start and found the problem to be the black wire. Squeeze in the connectoron the black wire a little and back in business.

I did have to replace the module once and the new module had sleeves on three pins. The original did not. Over the twenty years I had my 82 I replace the harness at least three times. The problem was always the connector on the black wire.
