pulling engine and tranny at same time.... 200 1987

It depends on which trans you have. The M45 4-speed can come out and up w/o remnoving the radiator and apron across the front, along with horn, a/c condensor, etc. If you have an M46 w/OD it is impossible to do it without clearing the front and sliding the whole engine/tranny forward. The auto is easier if the front is removed, but depending on the kind of lift you use, may not be able to get it high enough to go up over and out. It is also a lot easire to do if the hood is removed, too.
Remember to use a three point chain harness, connected to the three pulling loops. Before you hoist, make sure the chains are balanced properly. If do it properly the engine lifts easily up and out at the right angle. Make sure the lift point cannot slide on any of the chains and reposition the center gravity while lifting.
If you've never done this before, I would suggest you get a friend to help that has done this before.
