Alignment Adjustment Question 940T 700

When I had my 745 aligned - the tech said the same - specs were different for each side to compensate for road crown. I did not have to go to a longer strut arm on either side, though.

I guess I would be asking the question why is the longer arm needed if there is no signs of damage. To my understnding - if the bushings, ball joints. tie rod ends are all replaced and all is tight - with no damage - then it should be like the day it left the factory.
