Hi Matt
Yes the flange was smooth all around.
I'm also surprised that would make a difference.

If you have 1.378" and that is close to stock, that could mean that the difference is closer to 0.068" instead of 0.030".

I'm not sure what to think anymore!
Hopefully, others may also have some input.
