By having the setup like this, you could have problems here!
The OUTlet from engine is there for letting out fumes from burned oil and is NOT vacume.
The correct installation would be either a free outlet (into free air as they where originally in the early setups) or, direct to the intake manifold.
By sharing vacume from intake manifold as your setup is now, vacume for brakebooster is "wasted" by sharing! -you might also could have very accid oil-fumed-air into your brakebooster, BAD!
Also, the small tubes for screwing into the manifold have specific hole-size for each job.
I think you have an issue here to do a little more work to, before polishing the thermostat-housing!

If your brakebooster is working correctly - I would assume a lot of difference noticeable if you change your setup!
I hope my english gives you an idea - I think something is very wrong here!
