When I had the same symptoms it drove me crazy. I checked the underdash wiring, I got a new battery, I changed the starter motor, and finally when all else failed I checked out the alternator which common sense would have had checked first. In any case, I believe you will find you have a charging problem. If you also have AM radio interference it is definitely the alternator.
