Hey Chris,
While I was on the throne, I wondered if it could be a leaky injector or two? If the plugs get wet after running and turning it off, the plugs won't fire. Sitting for several hours will let the gas evaporate and the plugs will fire again.
Check the oil dip stick for gas smell or open the oil filler cap and sniff there for gas. If you find gas in the oil, change it as soon as you can. Get som injector cleaner, fill the tank with gas, and run the car for a long trip.
But now it won't stay started? It could be your fuel pump. Turn the key to on and listen for the pump noise under the rear seat. Is your gas cap on tight? It could be the fuel pickup inside the tank or the injectors so fouled up that they won't close. Pull a spark plug and check it for wetness. Clean all 4 with a wire brush and try to start again.
