Bosch ABS system quality 700

Kevin,

The 800 series used an ATE/Teves system for Anti-lock braking, instead of the Bosch system. It is a very good system (four-wheel as opposed to the Bosch three-way ABS), but the control module on the 1996 and up 850 and S/V/C70 series cars is a common failure. Up to 1996, the 850 also had an ATE system, but with no real common problems.
