Sudden Engine Failure 700 1990

Timing belt failure. Easy to check. Look in the oil filler cap and see if the camshaft is turning while the starter in engaged.

T-belts usually fail invisibly. The teeth shear off the belt where it wraps around the crankshaft pulley.

If it's not that, we need more symptoms. Gas tank full? wiring harness problems? What about the exciter wire on the back of the alternator? Is it grounded somewhere?

Good Luck,

Bob
