But isn't the VW V6 a front wheel drive? In my search for a perfect engine, I only looked at late model rear wheel drive vehicles. Some such as Mercedes and BMW I ruled out because of cost. Another possibility that I considered was the engine from a Mazda Miata. Although it is still just a 4 cylinder the Miata has good performance and reliabiltiy. But there seems to so much room under the hood of the PV that I thought a V6 would be the best choice.
