My guess is that ALL of the 240 seats are too wide to fit comfortably into
a 122, which is a distinctly narrower body shell. I can easily close the
passenger window from the driver's seat while driving, and I am short and
squatty. I cannot do that and even see the road in my 69 164.
The seats in the 164 use the same frame (and in some cases the same upholstery)
as the 140 series, and they are too wide to fit into a 122 without a lot of
crowding and also require a set of mounting adapter plates. Using adapter
plates I put 122 seats into the 164 while getting its seats reupholstered
in Panama (don't get me started!!) and they made the 164 look VERY roomy!
In the 122 the tunnel and the parking brake are too close to conveniently fit
a driver's seat from a 140/164 between them and I have every reason to think
that 240 seats are just as wide.
