Is it worth pulling a 16 valve head out of the JYard to use later?

Yes, it's mainly the upper end that's different, although the B234F block does differ in the balance shafts and timing belt driven oil pump.

There's a lot of demand on these heads, seeing how they are very well designed in flow. Besides the Volvo crowd, folks are using 'em to build up their 2.3L Ford too.

I say pull it. If the valves are bent up ... well, then talk them down in price. As long as it's self-serve junkyard cheap in price, at the very least, you can sell it for more on eBay.
