Warning lights all lit up

Better think of replacing it soon. As timing belt replacements involve removing the fan belts, they're usually all replaced at the same time. If the fan belts are old enough to shred, I won't be suprised if the timing belt is old too.

Granted, there are always aspects of abnormalty. I just discovered earlier today that the thermostat was never replaced on my '90, even though the service records from the previous owner reflected that the shop "replaced one" back in '98. Ripoff place plus a bastard mechanic, I guess. It's not like it's even a hard part to get to - most of the 15 minutes was cleaning the 15 years of gunk built up on and around the housing.
