On an 83 4 headlight wagon beater we have the low beams work fine, but when you click on the high beams only the two driverside lights come on, the 2 passenger side lights do not light at all.

On low beam, in both dual beam lights the low beam filaments are good.

On high beam, driver side high beam light is good, passenger side is not.

The driver side dual beam light has a good high beam filament.

The passenger side dual beam light has a bad high beam filament.


Maybe it really is just a case of burned out filaments, not a relay.

The only relay in the circuit is the stepping (high/low) relay, which, from your description, is working OK.
