That's Beam Width Control... 700 1991

no, its not a knob and it's not the "rheostat"..
It's not the Beam width control knob on a 940, its a "beam width regulator" which I found on my 91 740 WIRING DIAGRAM. It is somewhere in the dashboard and is totally fried. It is connected to a white wire that is running off of fuse 21 and generates a ground pulse for the instrument lights. Or in my case it generates a big fat short and NO instrument lights.
