Changing front struts... how safe of a jobis it?

Highly exaggerated, I think you have to be pretty bad to miss a slipping compressor, and even then things do not get out of contral that fast. Just as with firearms, do not point the compressed spring at your face and don't give it to your 3 year old to play with. It is one of the great popular myths that gets repeated so often it becomes a regular chant. Like tight lug nuts warp rotors and oil MUST be changed at every XXXX miles. Kind of a religion, more than an auto repair science.
