Snap-On tools

Yep, that #2 Philips is definitely a case where Snap-on is worth paying $25 for a screwdriver. The ratchets I use most are my comfort grip 3/8 & 1/2 sealed long handle ratchets. I also got a ratchet that I don't see listed any more - a 3/8 fine tooth, with an adjustable locking offset handle - not like the tune-up type flex-head, but with a splined joint about 2" from the head that permits the handle to be configured as an L shape, or by unlocking the splines you can tighten/loosen a bolt by 'pistoning' the handle up & down, beautiful for VW exhaust manifolds & Volvo turbo downpipe flange nuts. I noticed Canadian Tire now has something almost identical for under $30 - a far cry from the $160 mine cost... ah, those were the good old days of having a tool budget to spend. My good tools live in my hall closet & don't leave my sight while I'm out working on a project. If I left my apartment unlocked for 5 minutes it'd be cleaned out where I live... I know what you mean.
