Yeah ... what he said!
Know what they do at the meetings???? They read Amazon want adds until they swoon!
Seriously, Ron has a great site to start with. Then go to VClassics and check out the tech archive for some stuff you are not sure about or modifications you may be interested in.
Next to the IPD classifieds to check for some good deals on used parts or cars. Then the Brickboard classifieds.
After a little bit, I go to VP Autoparts to checkout the new interior stuff an their catalogs... more good pictures. Really important to go to GCP and download parts catalogs lots of part numbers and really cool pictures.... over 700 pages of B18 Amazon stuff and the same for B20 models. You shokuld be able to field strip and reassemble your Amazon blindfolded!!!
After a quick break, go to VPerformance and drool over some really neat performance stuff John has and then bop on over to the IPD online catalog and browse a while for some stuff you surely need.
A little later i call Shayne up at IPD and order those parts I really need and check the weather in Portland. You can order on line, but Professor Green has lots of wisdom to impart and he gets lonesome while he is handcuffed to his computer all day!!!. I try to call every week or so to make sure he hasn't forgotten who I am.
Well, at this point it is time for lunch so I have a little salad and the afternoon is a little free form. i've made a couple of little dice-like things that have my favorite web sits to choose from.
Yeah well, that's my day, mostly. I haven't got VAS so much as I Roll fever!! It's not so bad I guess!
These guys are some of the professors here at Amazon U:
Walrus is a metallurgist and knows how to fix really broken things of all sorts. He has a great "Culch" to work with and big birds in his driveway... I think they are penguins or something like that.
S Berry is the resident practitioner of Megasquirt.
JohnMc is from St Louis and if you are good, he might let you look at is cool PV. He has Webers, but has a hankerin for fuel injection.
Phil S has a wicked P1800 and his wife Marsha has one of the finest 120 sedans going. Phil gave Marsha's motor away, but he has paid his penance and he doesn't have to sleep in the garage anymore!! It's a nice garage too... a Five Holer I recall!
Nah... it 's just an obsession to me!
Later..have fun!
Mike
