I got the car going with the gas to the floor and key on until the car runs on its own , there were a couple of bare wires on the injectors ,they may have been touching .I ran the car for about an hour then the then the check engine light came on which i assume is the 241 code but at least it is working now .thanks for all your help I will examine the egr business to see if i can fix it
