Fender Issues!! 120-130

Who gave you a price of $570 for new fenders? I paid $426 recently (with VCOA discount) for a new right fender for my 1966 122, ordered from my local Volvo dealership, which arrived in 3 days. I've got a wee bit of the Scotch in me, too, but I splurged on this because I had a bodywork time-crunch, was tired of looking for a good used one, I'm in the northeast and wanted something really sound, and have saved on so many other areas of the car by doing work myself and finding other used parts that I figured it was worthwhile. Oddly, I do have two decent left-side fenders I was going to put on ebay (I had three, but used one on my own car) which I'd sell you comparable to the price of the used one quoted to you, but you'd have to pay shipping because I live all the way in PA, so you might find a better price at a local junkyard, especially if you're in CA.

At any rate, if I were you, I'd just replace the whole fender. Rust can hide where you can't see it behind the lowest part of the inner fender, and unless this car's a junker, I generally believe that if you're going to spend the time doing it, you might as well do it thoroughly.

Cheers to your new car!

Holly
