E-bay luck? 444-544

Hmm... Sensitive subject..

I too sell on eBay (same username as here, why? - to give confidence that I'm a "true person" - meaning, I don't hide behind anything).

In my Volvo listings, I have choosen to give the service of refund if buyer is unsatiesfied. This to asure any potential buyer that I'm reliable and not only in it for the money - but ALSO to kind of "protect" myself from buyers who expect one level but feel they got a "lower level".

It is VERY difficult with used parts - the grill you returned was apperantly sold for $25 MORE just a little later. You bought it at $100 - a rechromed NEW !! from SVIS (Swedish Volvo Clubs in Co-work - reproduce and fabric special items) is arround $460

I think that when buying used parts - the describtion should be stated and READ with awareness of the market price - in this case: A NEW would cost $460, you got a reasonable (you say "fair") grill for $100 - I think that saving $360 should leave enough room to get it rechromed and straightend.

The seller has done everything he can to please you - even returned the shipping costs! - Meaning: He has had a loss - maybe you have "wasted" some time, but then in the future you should only buy new parts - Time spended on searching for a good deal shouldn't be a sellers cost!

Please, I don't take any side here - but I really think anything other than positive feedback was unfair in this case!

eBay feedback system is not a "weapon" - and even if YOU feel he describes items wrong - maybe someone out there really felt lucky buying the grill you didn't want.
It's a bit like discussing art! - Who is right??

Seen from solely the "professional" side - The seller sold, you paid, you returned, he re-paid - what more could satiesfy you in such a deal?

What would have made you give him positive feedback?? What more than allready done, could he have done to please you?

I don't agree with others here - You could EASILY have "lost" the money and you could only have given him a neg. feedback for that BIG difference in what you actually got.

I don't want to give examples of what I have experienced on eBay with SELLERS, but I can assure you that having done apr. 100 deals where I was the buyer - the service level you have received is 3 steps above average!

I hope you don't take this as any offense - you asked for opinion - and I guessed you did that because you actually after given the feedback was in daubt if it was right..

Added:
((investigating a little, it seems that you have done 2 deals with the seller - but only left him neutral for one deal? Or did you return the other item too? - maybe the sller has been rude to you after you left the neutral, I can not know that, but I sure think that if you are satiesfied with the other item, you really owe the seller a veru nice feedback for his service level!))

End.

Item #7966375383 is the grill..
