Strut Replacement Complete

Hi,

My strut tubes did not have a spacer in them. The new, taller cartridges stuck up out of the tube about 3/16" or so. I was concerned about that but Bilstien said it was not a problem. I only had a few gland nut threads showing after I tightened them down. I did use some loctite on there for peace of mind. You will need to use a couple of washers under the strut top nut to make up that height difference. If you forget, the clunking noise will remind you.

As for gland nut removal...I would take the tube out and put it in a vice. Then you can apply lots of torque and the all important nut loosening words.
