Good points Kane. I would tend to agree more about gravity assisting the process with the trans. then with the oil change. Since the the oil change should be at oil operating temp. it seems most particulate crap would be suspended in the oil or, hopefully trapped in the filter. Considering the filter change part of the operation...you are dead on. I find the most difficult part is removing/replacing the darn splash guard on my V90. The 940 is a breeze.
