I agree 100% with "someguy's" post. I have never seen a new warped rotor, and never had a rotor warp on me in about 40 years of disc brake experience. The only ones I ever saw were due to a driver who habitually rode the brakes down long hills.
I too believe the secret is in having a clean hub-rotor mating surface, with perhaps some indexing to correct minor variations. The Volvo 700/900 brake manual advocates only on-the-car rotor machining ("warping" is not mentioned), after which the rotor must always be kept in the same orientation.
