Lesson - Don't steam clean the engine

The wreckers may tow it away for free, but i doubt he'll get $400 unless it fixes itself. Probably has corroded contacts on a connection somewhere.

I just purchased a fairly clean 82 GL here in SoCal for $180. It runs great, it did need rear brakes, tires, strut mounts and alignment.

First thing i did was steamclean the engine compartment and it still runs great. I guess you just have to watch where your hitting with the high pressure and take it easy around certain components. Don't forget to let it run it a while when your done to dry it all out.

Your luck may vary.
