Radiator of overheating 1800 1971

Another thing you can do to check cooling - see if the temp vaires with changes in the heater temp settings - on full heat, temp should drop noticably. If the temp seems to follow changes in the heat settings pretty well, then the flow should be relatively free thru the radiator and engine. Also, what temp thermostat are you using? May need a different thermostat, such as a 180 vs 210, for example. One last item - how about the fan? Is it a newer one with a viscous clutch that may not be funtioning correctly (had a 245 with that problem)?
