You might be thinking of something else. MS is a DIY programmable FI controller. You could build your own (PCB, resistors, capacitors, chips, etc and a soldering iron) fro close to $100. Or buy them prebuilt and tested for mid 200's. Then the work putting it onto the car, and the odds and ends. It will be more complicated putting it onto a non-Fi car, I read the '1975' year and thought the car went with the engine. You might not want to bother on a carbed car.
