Oh red flag! I bet he has read that these ECUs are failure prone, and they are, but only wrt loss of fuel pump ground (no start), and he is abou to stick you for a high priced ECU in an attempt to solve a problem he can't fathom. Of course, I might be wrong, but I would run like hell and get my own used good 561 or 951 ECU.
