camshaft replacement 1800 1972

Was the cam phasing decent? I mean, was it "degreed-in" properly?

Often a reground cam (especially to some "hot" profile) will need to have the cam centers adjusted to fit the grind on the available lobe material. If one of these cams is installed "straight-up" without any advance or retard to correct the phasing, it will run like s**t. Even a "stock" regrind can have this issue.

Were I you, I'd see where the cam centerline sits before pulling it out.
