Hi,

I had the same odometer problem last year. It was insufficient grip between the steel shaft and the zinc-made gear right besides the 1 km display wheel, NOT the plastic gear which drives the shaft. Here You can see how I fixed the problem:

Have You cleaned the radiator from outside too?
